Bishop has 10 days to get out
Bishop Richard Williamson has been told he has ten days to get out of Argentina or he will be expelled.
The Bishop who exploded into international consciousness last month, when he claimed that the Holocaust was exaggerated and that no Jews had died in Nazi gas chambers, has not commented on the latest development.
The Argentine Interior Ministry said Bishop Williamson was in the country illegally as he had concealed the true motive for his stay, saying he was an employee of a non-governmental group when he was in fact a serving rector of the seminary of the Society of St. Pius X in La Rega for five years. He was removed as head of the seminary earlier this month.
The Vatican has already stated that the Bishop will not be welcomed into full communion with the church until he disavows his remarks about the Holocaust and publicly apologises for them.
