Paris: Catholic family exchange opportunity for teenage boy
A French family living in Paris with a 14 year-old son, are offering to host an English teenage boy this summer.
Barbara Kentish writes: “Basile’s Dad, Thierry, is head of emergency services for Secours Catholique/Caritas France, and his mother, Valérie, is a social worker with a Paris district. He attends a Catholic boys’ school run by a religious order in Bercy, on the east side of Paris, near the stunning Bibliotheque Nationale. He plays the guitar and is an enthusiastic member of the Scout movement, doing various outdoor activities.
“Thierry and Valérie want Basile to have better English than they do (they do speak a little) and would be very happy to host an English teenager in exchange. They are a really friendly family, and it could be so important for a young person to have friends in Europe!
“I met Thierry in Lourdes two years ago, and also last year when the family came to London for a short break. I would suggest that initial contact could be by email and phone/skype but then for face to face contact, a cheap trip to Paris to meet could be done by coach (Bercy has the terminus for the Ouibus London Paris), or a bargain day trip on Eurostar!”
