London: Art and Creativity retreat focuses on health and spirituality

JudyAnn Masters is facilitating a day art and creativity retreat at DeMazenod House, Tower Hill, exploring connections between health and spirituality, on Saturday 27 May 2017. Resources for day will include the work of Louise Hay, best-selling author of Heal Your Body, and Fr Fintan Creavan SJ, author of Body and Soul, who, with references to elements of Celtic Spirituality and Ignatius Loyola’s Spiritual Exercises, offers insights into the spirituality of body mind and spirit, at home with God who is at home on earth.

JudyAnn writes: "Everyone is invited to share any material, experiences or information they may have on the psycho-spiritual aspect of health.

"The aim of the Retreat is to enhance our relationship, communication with God creatively and intuitively, as well as explore how we deal with dis-ease in our bodies. We could use any combination of prayer, scripture, poetry, prose, music, meditation and contemplation etc. Basically, using a creative means to stimulate the “whole brain” (and heart) while praying and talking with God. The creative expression can be any means of collage, watercolours, gouache, pencils, oil pastels, crayons, beads or any other creative ingredients. Materials provided and feel free to bring your own favourite material!

"We will end the day with Mass celebrated by Fr Oliver Barry OMI and reconciliation is available. Please bring a packed lunch. Teas and coffee will be provided. Arrive at 10:30am for an 11am start, with a 4PM. Suggested donation is £12."
