Please support 80-year-old running for charity in London Marathon
A dear friend of mine, 80 year old David Turner, will run in the London Marathon tomorrow. He is doing so in the hope that he can raise much needed funds for orphans at Mother’s Village Orphanage in Bosnia Herzegovina. If you are not supporting another charity runner, it would be great if you could visit http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/davidturner10 and make a donation. If you are a uk tax payer and can gift aid your donation, that would be the icing on the cake!
David has in the past run the BUPA 10K for the orphans and also the London Marathon. Sadly last year he developed a virus and was unable to take part. His place was transferred to this year so we have been hoping and praying that he would remain fit. He has clocked up a lot of miles in his training over recent months so let’s hope he can complete the marathon tomorrow.
Funds raised will be transferred intact to Mother’s Village bank account by Arthur McCluskey Foundation of which I am a director. Please visit our website and read about some of our recent work or watch some short videos.
Thank you!
