Ninety members of the Catenian Association and their wives took part in the fifth Evening of Polish Culture held by Osterley Catenian Circle at Hounslow Conservative Club on Wednesday 20th May 2015.

The evening was held to honour the memory of Monsignor Gostomski who was killed five years ago in the Smolensk plane crash with other prominent members of the Polish community.

62 Catenians took part in the formal meeting with seven prospective members and two clergy members. Frank Bajorek, a frequent visitor to Osterley Circle was enrolled into the association during the meeting.

Youngsters from the Schola Swiatlo Children's Choir led by Maria Budzynska entertained guests after the formal meeting and were very well received. Choir leader and co-founder Maria Budzynska said: "It's always a pleasure to sing for the Catenians. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming and it's lovely to share our joy in singing in Polish with others."

After the attendees had enjoyed the choir they sat down to a full Polish dinner complimented with vodka a singing of Sto Lat - the traditional song that expresses good wishes, good health & long life to a person.
