Westminster Diocese launches Parish Communication Award

Bishop John Arnold

Bishop John Arnold

A Parish Communication Award scheme has been launched by the Diocese of Westminster. With categories for best parish website, best parish magazine and best parish newsletter, the Awards aim to showcase the best written and designed communications promoting the life and mission of the Diocese of Westminster's Catholic parishes.

Bishop John Arnold said: " Good communication is a vital part of ensuring that parishes are vibrant and active communities. A well produced newsletter, magazine or website allows people to enter fully into parish life and helps us to answer Christ's call to go out into the wider community and tell others the Good News of our Catholic faith. That's why we are is inviting entries to the Parish Communication Awards so that the work parishes do in communicating their life and work can be more widely shared and appreciated."

Winning entries

The winning parish for each category will receive a prize of £75 and the two runners up £25 and £10. The winners will be invited to a reception where they will be presented with a special Parish Communication Awards Certificate. The main criteria to be used for selecting the winning entries will include quality of design, range of information and quality of writing.
