Climate service and march 2010
Christians of all denominations will be gathering for a special service in London on Saturday, 4 December at 11am, to pray for the environment.
The service at the Church of the Annunciation in Bryanston Street , London W1H 7AH, will be led by Revd Chris Brice, chair of Operation Noah. Speaker will be Edward Echlin, author of 'Climate and Christ, A Prophetic Alternative'.
After the service the congregation will join the rally and march for a zero carbon Britain organised by Campaign against Climate Change who are gathering in Hyde Park from 12 noon, and marching to Westminster from 1pm. For more information on the rally and march visit www.campaigncc.org
The 2010 climate march coincides with the United Nations climate change conference in Cancun, Mexico. Despite the disappointment of Copenhagen CEL and Operation Noah continue to support efforts to keep climate change high up on national and international agendas. With numbers for the march expected to be considerably less than in 2009 it is even more important for Christians to be present with our prayers.
