Special Lenten feature on Irish Bishops site

A special Lenten web feature is now available on the website of the Irish Catholic Bishops' Conference. It contains much information which will be useful for people beyond Ireland.

The feature includes: Liturgical resources and information about Lent; details of worldwide telecasts from the Vatican; and Pope Benedict XVI's message for Lent 2010.

There are also messages from the Irish Bishops and the pages include information about diocesan initiatives around Ireland; a link to details of Trócaire's 2010 Lenten campaign on the theme of 'fighting hunger'; and factsheet from the Irish Bishops Drugs Initiative (IBDI) for people who may wish to consider abstaining from or reducing their use of alcohol over the period of Lent
