Catenians raise quarter of a million for CAFOD

The London Central Circle of the Catenian Association celebrated its 100th birthday last Saturday (12 December) in the Victoria Suite of the Park Plaza Hotel in London. The Circle's first meeting took place on 13 December, 1909.

During dinner, the Grand President, Joe McNally presented a cheque for £250,000 to Chris Bain, director of the aid agency CAFOD.

The money had been raised during the past 12 months as a result of many fund-raising activities organised throughout the world by the various Catenian Circles.

The Catenian Association is a worldwide brotherhood of Catholic professional men who meet monthly for dinner and debates and raise money for suitable causes.
