First comprehensive resource for people working in youth ministry - 20 March 2008

'Revealed' - the first comprehensive resource for people working in Catholic youth ministry, was launched at St Paul's Bookshop by Westminster Cathedral on 11 March. More than 75 people attended, including Mgr Richard Moth, Vicar General of Southwark, Fr Michael McGreevy publishing director of Redemptorist Press, authors Karen North and John Toryusen with catechists and youth workers from across London's three dioceses.

Revealed is a very practical resource - with a handbook and website - containing information and advice on everything from recruiting a team, creating an environment for activities, organising groups, devising liturgies, where to find materials, music, drama, film, making film clips and podcasts, hospitality, 'difficult situations' accounting, travel and much more.

Karen and John. have been working in youth ministry for several years and have brought all their experience, understanding and enthusiasm to this inspiring project.

Karen said: "Revealed provides a one-stop reference point for those on the hunt for support and ideas. We decided to put it together because there wasn't anything like this available. Every piece of advice and information has been tried and tested."
"
Revealed should be invaluable to anyone working with young people in the Church.

Revealed is published by Redemptorist Publications and costs £11.99

The website: www.revealedonline.co.uk contains online and downloadable resources for use in Catholic youth ministry., which will be updated regularly. The site also has an interactive community space where Catholic youth workers can share ideas and resources.
