New Dawn at Walsingham

More than two thousand people of all ages attended the 17th New Dawn Charismatic Renewal Conference at the National Marian Shrine of Walsingham last week Masses were celebrated on the themes of Renewal in the Power of the Spirit, Transformation in Christ, Equipping God's People and Preaching the Gospel to Every Creature.

On Tuesday 5th August Fr Mike Gwinnell celebrated a litany of Baptism for the Unborn. The speakers included Fr Bob Faricy SJ, John Vaughan Neil, Fr Stan Fortuna and John Pridmore. The Conference organiser, Peter Hobbs said he felt "People were really blessed by their week."

A composite icon of the Mother of God and tenderness was painted by the children - to be taken home piece by piece to form a living icon of prayer at the conference end.
