London: volunteers needed to run fair trade stalls
Justshare, a coalition of churches and Christian-based organisations working for economic justice for the world's poorest nations, is calling for volunteers to help run fair trade stalls in the City of London. Volunteers are needed from 11.30am to 2pm on Friday 30 April at a variety of churches in the city, including St Mary Le Bow, St Mary Woolnoth and St Bride's. The day forms part of Justshare's May Day programme. Justshare is committed to raising awareness of issues around poverty and inequality. Set up to provide a Christian voice on May Day, it pushes for practical changes to benefit the poor and is supported by CIIR, Christian Aid, CAFOD, the United Reformed Church, the Baptist Union of Great Britain, Tearfund and others. For more information, please call Rev Chris Brice at London Diocesan House on 020 7932 1121.
