London: a celebration of City Churches
Tomorrow (Wednesday) congregations from churches of many denominations within the City of London will be gathering at different locations and then taking part in Processions of Witness towards St Paul's Cathedral for a Service of Thanksgiving. Catholic parishioners from St Joseph's, Bunhill Row, and St Mary Moorfields, and Methodists from Wesley's Chapel will be joining Anglicans at St Bartholomew the Great, Smithfield at 5.15pm. The other host churches for the day, are St Brides in Fleet Street and St Mary-le-Bow in Cheapside. All are welcome to take part in the celebration. Processions will begin walking at 5.35pm and should enter St Paul's Cathedral at about 6pm. The service of Thanksgiving is from 6.15-7.15pm, in the company of the Lord Mayor, Alderman Robert Finch.
