London: living wage campaigners to sing carols at City Hall
Bernadette Farrell will be leading carol singers for London Citizens' Living Wage campaign today, outside Ken Livingstone's City Hall near Tower Bridge from 3.45 - 5pm.
Organiser Marion Hill told ICN: "Cameras will be there and they expect an announcement from the Mayor."
She said: "Bishop Victor Guazzelli was at the head of a 700-strong march down Whitechapel Road on a very rainy Thursday in November 2002. He was campaigning for a living wage for the poorest workers in London. We know he is with us in spirit as we continue the campaign. His vision began with TELCO - The East London Communities Organisation. London Citizens is part of the same organisation of churches and community groups from south London."
