Talks on virtue and the pursuit of wealth
Father Dermot Tredget OSB from Douai Abbey, is giving a series of talks at St Mary Moorfields, in the City of London, on the four cardinal virtues and their relevance to life in the banking world, starting next Monday. The subject of the first talk on Monday 13 June is: 'Prudence, balancing practical work and risk-taking'. Subjects for the following Mondays are: Courage, coping with adversity and isolation in leadership; Justice 'whose justice' and corporate social responsibility; and 'Temperance the rational pursuit of profit in the marketplace'. The talks, from 6.30-7.30pm, will be followed by an opportunity for questions and discussion. Refreshments are available beforehand.
