New series on prayer at Canary Wharf Prayer Room


The first of a series of monthly presentations on prayer, led by members of the Community of St Jean, takes place this Thursday, 5 February at 12 noon in the Canary Wharf Prayer Room.

Organiser Fr Peter Harris said: "We hope that these sessions will give those participating an opportunity to develop and deepen their own life of prayer.

This month will be on: Praying with Scripture - prayer as an encounter with Jesus, led by Fr Martin

Themes for future sessions, which will take place on the first Thursday of every month at 12 noon in the Canary Wharf Prayer will be:

March - Praying with the Trinity
April - Praying with the Holy Spirit
May - Praying with the Son
June - Praying with the Father
July - Praying at all times

The Community of St Jean arrived in September of last year to look after the parish of St Margaret, Canning Town.They were founded in France in 1975.
