Catholic website focusses on Iraq issues

For the next three weeks, OZSpirit, a free weekly online magazine covering issues of justice, spirituality and global education produced by Caritas Australia and Church Resources, will focus on the war in Iraq. This week's OZSpirit provides a general introduction to the country of Iraq. The following two editions will focus on the reasons behind the conflict and the humanitarian concerns brought about by the conflict. OZSpirit upholds the Catholic Church's opposition to the war, pleads for support for the victims of this war and invites us all to pray for the safety of all those men and women deployed on either side in this conflict. OzSpirit is suitable for people of all ages who would like to know more about what is happening in our world and how we can help to alleviate injustice. OzSpirit includes news, feature articles, opinion pieces, background information on current justice topics with teaching strategies suitable for students, teachers, parish and community groups, reflections and a guide to websites.
