Zimbabweans to celebrate life of John Bradburne
The life of John Bradburne, Servant of God, will be celebrated at a 25th Anniversary Mass in Harare Cathedral at noon on Friday, 3 September. Thousands of pilgrims will also gather at Mutemwa Leprosy Settlement near Mutoko, to honour this Englishman who many believe to be a saint.
John Bradburne dedicated his life to serving the lepers in Zimbabwe for ten years until his murder by guerillas in 1979. There is a huge devotion to Bradburne within Zimbabwe, and there is growing impetus to introduce his Cause for Canonisation.
