Durban: Bishop of Eshowe dies


Bishop Mansuet Dela Biyase of Eshowe, died on Friday, at Entabeni Hospital in Durban after a week of illness. He had suffered a stroke in the night of 25 June at his home in Cleremont and was then admitted to Entabeni Hospital, where he had had a triple bypass operation in May 2003. Bishop Biyase had been unconscious since the stroke and never gained consciousness. Bishop Biyase was born on 5 October 1933 and was ordained bishop of the diocese of Eshowe in 1975.
