Florida pastor cancels Koran burning
The head of a small American church has cancelled plans to burn copies of the Koran on the anniversary of 11 September.
Faith leaders and politicians around the world, including President Obama and Pope Benedict, all protested strongly when Larry Jones, who leads a 30-strong congregation at the Dove World Outreach Centre in Gainesville, Florida, announced his plan.
Jones has said he had decided to cancel the event because Muslim clerics in New York had promised to move the site of a proposed Islamic cultural centre near Ground Zero. The Muslim leaders deny that they had made any agreement with him.
