Wales: Ty Mam Duw Sisters celebrate the Annunciation at Cana

The Annunciation by Fra Filippo Lippi

The Annunciation by Fra Filippo Lippi

Of all the Biblical themes that have inspired the Poor Clare Colettines, at Hawarden in North Wales, the Annunciation may be the one which the sisters have most frequently focussed! But they have never thought about the marriage at Cana before.

They write: "This last of the mysteries of Epiphany does not get the attention it deserves, a pity; it is the annunciation of the Church and the ongoing wedding feast of life, here and hereafter."

This Saturday, 28 November, on the Eve of the First Sunday of Advent the Sisters will be holding a Carol Service at 6.30pm.

XT3, the World Youth Day networking site is one of Ty Mam Duw¹s other commitments. Invited by the XT3 executive in its early days before WYD SYD, the Sisters have their own page there and with an XT3 friend Bernadette Bevans of www.marysdowryproductions.org

They have put together a Youtube on their life: 'Behold the handmaid of the Lord'! www.youtube.com/watch?v=3twbqqdnisI
