Trek challenge: Walk Hadrian's Wall
Retrace the steps of the Romans and discover the magic of Hadrian's Wall - while raising money for CAFOD at the same time.
Get away from it all and witness history close up, while helping transform the lives of the very poorest communities across the world.
Originally running from coast to coast and spanning 72 miles, many sections of Hadrian's Wall remain today - a tribute to the Romans’ amazing feat of engineering.
Starting at Lanercost Priory, you will trek 25 miles (41 kilometres) over two days, taking in stunning countryside and fabulous views of the Wall stretching into the distance. The trek finishes at Broccolitia Roman Fort.
You can join this organised tour as an individual or with a group of friends. The trek challenge takes place from 4-6 June 2010 and 6-8 August 2010.
Registration fee is £49, and the tour costs £220. Money raised over and above the tour costs goes directly to CAFOD’s work overseas. So, the more you raise, the more people we can help.
The tour includes all food, campsite accommodation and camping equipment. It also includes vehicle support, trek leaders, cooks and drivers.
