CaFE- a new resource for evangelisation

An exciting new approach to teaching the Catholic faith is being launched this week. The first group of catechists and teachers will be taking part in a training day on Saturday, to learn about CaFE - Catholic Faith Exploration. The brainchild of David Payne from the Catholic Evangelisation Services, CaFE is a teaching programme for parishes using a series of videos with speakers including Fr Raniero Cantalamesa OFMCap, the papal preacher, and Marcellino D'Ambrosio. 'Knowing God Better' - module one of CaFE, has seven talks by David Payne and is a relaxed and enjoyable introduction to the course, covering God's Love, Grace and Forgiveness. The module includes mime testimonies, music and opportunities for prayerful reflection. The aim is to run this as a mini parish mission and then use the other CES videos, including the latest one: 'Catholics Making a Difference' , which features James Maudesley, Lord David Alton and Cardinal Murphy-O'Connor. The resource includes a team training video, leaders' pack and group facilitators manual. For further information and leaflets contact Catholic Evangelisation Services, PO Box 333, St Albans, Herts, AI3 IEL. Tel: 01727 822 837.
