Memorial Mass for Michael Landers
On Saturday, 25 January singers from choirs around Britain will sing at the 6.00 pm Mass at The Church of the Immaculate Conception, Farm Street, London as a memorial to Michael Landers, president of the Pueri Cantores Federation of Great Britain who died, aged 55, on December 15, 2002. Michael Landers was the fourth president of Pueri Cantores in Great Britain. A teacher and church musician he devoted his life to the work bringing young people to God through singing the traditional music of the Church in the context of the revised liturgy. Pueri Cantores is the organisation in the Church that internationally promotes the work of children's and youth choirs in the singing of the liturgy. While relatively small in Britain it is particularly strong in France, Germany and Spain.
