Religious media awards announced

Ruth Gledhill, Religion Correspondent on The Times, has been awarded the 2004 Andrew Cross Awards Religious Writer of the Year. Aled Jones, the 2004 Andrew Cross Awards Religious Broadcaster of the Year. The awards were announced on Tuesday during the Churches' Media Conference in Swanwick. Representatives from all the main churches took part in the conference. The number of entries in this year's competition was up by 35 per cent on 2003.
