God, Angels and Us' at Bristol university
Sunday 22 February will see this year's Annual Aquinas Lecture at the University of Bristol Catholic Chaplaincy. The visiting lecturer will be former Bristol law student, Fr Robert Ombres OP, who is Novice Master for the English Province of Dominicans and lecturer in Canon Law and Moral Theology at Blackfriars, Oxford. Father Ombres studied in Bristol from 1996 to 1999. He has also recently co-edited English Canon Law and is casebook editor of Law and Justice. Entitled 'God, Angels & Us', the lecture will be take place in the Chaplaincy Library at 103 Queens Road, Clifton, Bristol. The Chair for the evening is Dr Kieran Flanagan, Reader in Sociology at the University of Bristol. Fr Robert King, Catholic Chaplain to the University of Bristol said: "I am delighted to welcome Fr Robert Ombres OP and Dr Kieran Flanagan to the Chaplaincy. The Aquinas Lecture is a wonderful way of bringing lives of the University and the Church closer together.
