Graduation Day at London Mission School
The Feast of Corpus Christi last week was graduation day at the School of Mission based at St Patrick's, Soho Square. This is the third year the School has offered an eight month course which aims to equip young people for the new evangelization, a call voiced to us by the late Holy Father Pope John Paul II. This year's consist of Budi Nahiba from Indonesia, Katarina Furimska from Slovakia, Sebastian Rawski from Poland and Catherine Jungah Ryu from South Korea. Maureen Cox, Director SPES, said: "Each of these young people have accepted the invitation of Pope John Paul II to become "morning watchmen' of the new millennium." She said the celebrations began with Mass presided by Bishop Bernard Longley and continue with refreshments in the parish room of St Patrick's Church. Maureen said:"Guests included the many priests, religious and laity who have contributed to the program by generously giving of their time and expertise to support and equip our young people to live and embrace their Catholic identity."
