Ireland: church attendance becoming more popular
More people in Ireland are going to church - according to a new survey. While religious activities still take second place to shopping the gap is closing. The Mintel Ireland marketing survey showed that 15% of the Irish respondents said that attendance at church services ranked among their top five priorities during their free time. Their 2003 survey, showed only 9.3% putting church services on their top-five list. In 2003, 23.5% listed shopping among their top priorities; in the latest poll that figure dropped to 16.6%. The Irish Lifestyles 2006 Work-Life Balance report by Mintel Ireland studied the lifestyles of over 2,000 people throughout Ireland. Source: Mintel
