Were you in Rome on 16 July, 2000?

We've had this request from Helen More, in Marlborough, Massachusetts. USA. She is on a family mission and writes: While visiting Rome on 16 July, 2000 - my eldest son, Michael, attended a Sunday Mass at the Vatican, and was selected to do the second reading, at the main altar, for the benefit of the English-speaking members of the congregation. Needless to say, this once-in-a-lifetime event meant the world to him. Since he was travelling alone, there was no one at the Mass to capture this awesome event on film. However, he did recall seeing several flashbulbs going off, during his reading, which indicated that SOMEONE had indeed captured him on film. The Vatican Press Corps told us that since the Holy Father was out of town for the weekend, they did not attend this particular Mass. I realize my mission is like looking for the needle in the proverbial haystack, but decided to give it my best shot. Would you be aware of any religious organizations and/or tour groups who may have attended that July 16, 2000 Mass at the Vatican in Rome? Thought perhaps I could contact someone .. just to see if the "mysterious photographer" may have been in one of those groups. Many thanks for taking the time to read my lengthy letter. Any guidance would be most appreciated. Take care and God bless. Have a lovely day, Helen Marie More e-mail: H.More@compuserve.com
