Zimbabwe: Catholic missionary in group arrest


A Catholic missionary, is reported to be among the group arrested in Bulawayo after an interchurch service for peace on Saturday. See: Zimbabwe: church minister arrested after prayers for peace Fr Kevin O'Doherthy has now been named. He was imprisoned with the Rev Noel Scott, Anglican rector of the church of the Ascension and nine more people from different denominations. The group appeared in court this morning, charged with contravening the Public Order and Security Act. All eleven were granted bail and remanded out of custody. The next court hearing will be on 4 March.
