Zimbabwe: new archbishop to be installed

Bishop Robert Christopher Ndlovu of Hwange will be installed as the new Archbishop of Harare on August 21, the Catholic Information Service Africa reports. The ceremony will take place during a Solemn Mass to be celebrated at the Harare City Sports Centre. All Zimbabwean bishops and the Apostolic Nuncio are expected to attend. Bishop Robert's appointment has left the Diocese of Hwange without a bishop. Two other Zimbabwean dioceses: Gweru and Chinhoyi are also waiting for new bishops, since the deaths of bishops Francis Mugadzi and Helmut Reckter SJ earlier in the year. Source: CISA
