A Time of Prayer,

A new pocket-sized prayerbook: A Time of Prayer, has just been published by CTS for the Liturgy Office of the Bishops' Conference of England and Wales. The booklet follows the basic structure of the Divine Office, which since Vatican II has been seen not just as the prayer of clergy and religious, but of the whole Church. Instead of various 'Hours' of the full office, it offers a single time of prayer, using the psalms and other scripture readings which can be prayed Morning , Evening or other times during the day. A simple form of Night Prayer is also included.

Fr Allen Morris, Secretary to the Department for Christian Life and Worship said 'Often people are looking for a simple pattern of daily prayer. A Time of Prayer has been written in order to be suitable for use by individuals and by groups.'
