Dramatic version of the Bible
The New Collins Comprehensive Dramatised Bible is out this month. Using text from the Good News Bible and some from the New International Version Bible, the Comprehensive Dramatised Bible allows the Bible to speak for itself and makes the performance of dramatised reading simple and straightforward.
According to one reviewer: "This new Bible, published by Collins, breathes life into God's words, making it a highly contemporary, readable and accessible presentation of God's word. The widest possible range of passages are included, from the Book of the Law and Judges to the Gospels and Acts and a selection of Psalms."
It also includes: Indexes to characters, subjects, worship themes and seasons to help the reader obtain the most from this Bible; a full cast listings for each reading to make every passage easy to navigate and organise for Bible study and Bible teaching arranged for choral speaking where appropriate.
This contemporary approach means church groups, schools, and religious education programmes can access the Bible in a vivid and lively way, making positive participation in Bible study truly interactive and bringing to life the richness of the Bible's messages.
Editor, the late Michael Perry was one of the UK's leading contemporary hymn writers. He was the Vicar of Tonbridge Parish Church in Kent and was the author of many published titles For more information visit: www.harpercollins.co.uk
