London & Birmingham: Public lectures by Vatican insider Marco Politi

Vatican expert Marco Politi has begun a lecture tour of the UK. The former Vatican correspondent for Italian newspaper La Repubblica and writer for Il Fatto quotidiano will be speaking at Heythrop College in London on Wednesday evening (12 October) and Newman University (Bartley Green, Birmingham) on Friday.

The author of His Holiness: John Paul II and the Hidden History of Our Time, Marco Politi's latest book, Pope Francis Among the Wolves: The Inside Story of a Revolution, addresses the power struggle between the Roman Curia and the global Catholic church from Pope Benedict XVI to the current day under Pope Francis.

Marco Politi will be speaking at Heythrop College on Wednesday, 12 October 6.30pm. This event is free to attend but booking is essential at http://shop.heythrop.ac.uk/browse/product.asp?compid=1&modid=2&catid=4

Marco Politi will be at Newman University on Friday 14 October. The talk begins at 6pm with a question and answer session to follow. Attendance is free and open to members of the public. Please register via email at d.b.mcloughlin@newman.ac.uk to confirm your place.
