London: Refugee service and march
This month, world leaders meet at two crucial summits to discuss the refugee crisis. This is the biggest opportunity of 2016 to show our government and the world that we care about refugees. A large and varied group of organisations are working together to host a march in central London. Ahead of the march on Saturday 17 September 2016 there will be a short ecumenical service of prayer for refugees organised by CAFOD with support from Christian Aid.
The service is from 12pm - 12.45pm at St James' Roman Catholic Church, Spanish Place, 22 George St, London W1U 3QY. All are welcome to join the march or the service or both. If you can't join in time for the service, groups will be meeting afterwards and we'll go to the start of the march at Park Lane together.
Please invite friends and people from your parish. Let us know if you will be meeting us at St James' church by registering for the march or service.
