London: Day retreat with art and prayer

Astonished and Amazed: Enlightenment through the little things, is a day retreat being given by JudyAnn Masters at the Oblate Retreat Centre at Tower Hill this Saturday 18th June 10.30 for an 11am start. The day will finish with Mass celebrated by Fr Oliver Barry.

Sr Sheila Gosney, who has recently relocated to Felixstowe, asked JudyAnn to continue the retreat days she had been doing with art and prayer. Astonished and Amazed will be the first JudyAnn is presenting, to carry on the marvellous work that Sr Sheila began.

The day will include scripture, prayer, meditation and creativity - ranging from formal art to experimental expression, paint to poetry, prose to collages!

The creativity is used to access the part of ourselves that is often a bit hidden in our regular day to day prayer life. This often brings a type of joyous release, revelation, that can renew our relationship with God. And it is fun!

So pack a lunch, if you a favourite creative medium bring it along and join us! A variety of paints, chalks, paper etc proivded. Donation of £12-/day and we'll finish by 4pm.

JudyAnn Masters has a MA in Pastoral Theology from Heythrop College, has been a counsellor and spiritual counsellor for 30+years. She was the Parish Pastoral Coordinator at Holy Apostles Church in Pimlico until the end of last year. She has also been an interior designer.

The retreat is from 11am-4pm Saturday 18 June 2016, at the Oblate Retreat Centre, 62 Chamber St, London, E1 8BL
