Peace events to mark Ash Wednesday

Ash Wednesday vigil at the MoD

Ash Wednesday vigil at the MoD

All are welcome to join Pax Christi on Ash Wednesday (10 February) for the 34th year of Christian witness and resistance to nuclear war preparations at the Ministry of Defence in London. This liturgy and witness is undertaken in respectful opposition to the MoD's preparations for the deployment of weapons of mass destruction, and Repentance is a key theme. The event has been organised in conjunction with Christian CND and the London Catholic Worker.

Participants are invited to gather at 3.00pm at Victoria Embankment Gardens in Whitehall. There will then be a liturgy and procession to the Ministry of Defence in Horseguards Avenue for prayer and action.
