Petitions in support of Calais migrants

As the nights draw in and the cold weather approaches, more and more refugees are arriving at 'The Jungle' in Calais, where there are few facilities and people are huddled in makeshift shelters and tents without light or heating. Some people have asked about petitions and letter-writing campaigns. As an initial response, here is a list of the current constructive petitions regarding Calais that have been supplied by Phil Kerton and Ben Bano from the Seeking Sanctuary charity in Kent.. There are currently well over 5000 migrants in Calais (October 2015) and more nearby. 'Seeking Sanctuary' aims to raise awareness about this situation and is organising basic humanitarian assistance through Faith Communities and Community Organisations in partnership with the experienced aid agency 'Secours Catholique'.
