ICN editor Jo Siedlecka will be taking part in the CEO Sleepout at the Kia Oval tonight, 12 October, to raise funds for the Cardinal Hume Centre.

I'm taking part in the sleepout because I am really concerned about the number of young people I see sleeping on our streets. It's not right. They are our brothers and sisters. They had a home once. Life on the streets is very risky. As the weather gets colder people sleeping rough are in even greater danger.

The Cardinal Hume Centre offers advice and support to hundreds of homeless young people and families in London. I'm only going to be sleeping out for one night - with other people, in a safe place - so it hardly compares with the experience of people who are really homeless. Nevertheless I hope it attracts attention to the issue, and that you will be able to sponsor this important cause."
