London: Priest from Syria to speak at Farm Street

A Syrian Jesuit priest who works in the beleaguered city of Homs will be speaking about the current situation in Syria, at Farm Street this Wednesday evening.

Fr Ziad Hilal SJ works with the Jesuit Refugee Service as Director of the St Saviour Centre in Homs. One of his colleagues was Fr Francis van de Lugt SJ, who was murdered in April 2014. Another priest was kidnapped in May this year and is still missing.

The talk will take place in Farm Street Church Hall, Wednesday 1 July at 6.30pm. There is Mass at 6pm.

There is no charge. A small donation for refreshments.

The Church of the Immaculate Conception is at Farm Street, 114 Mount Street London W1K 3AH. Green Park or Bond Street are the nearest tube stations - a short walk away.

Fr Ziad addressed the Pax Christi AGM earlier this month. See: www.indcatholicnews.com/news.php?viewStory=27619
