Westminster: Annual Requiem Mass for deceased police officers
The 92nd Annual Solemn Requiem Mass commemorating those members who have recently died, serving officers who in the past year have died or lost their lives in the course of duty, and all deceased colleagues and friends in the police service takes place at Westminster Cathedral at 2.30pm on Wednesday 5 November. All are welcome. Please be seated by 2.15pm.
The Principal Celebrant will be the Rt Rev Richard Moth, Bishop of the Forces. The Metropolitan Police Male Voice Choir will participate in and sing the liturgy. A collection will be taken at the Offertory for the Cathedral.
Roman Catholic Chaplains are invited to concelebrate and Deacons to assist. Please notify your attendance. Ecumenical Chaplains to the Police Service and representatives of Staff and Faith Associations are also most welcome. Please notify your attendance and be advised that choir dress should be worn if robing and are you seated on the sanctuary. All other non clerical persons should sit within the main body of the Cathedral or as directed.
Cathedral Hall, Ambrosden Avenue, will be available from 1.30pm to 5.30pm to enable serving officers to dress in uniform beforehand and for refreshments after the Mass.
