Israeli prime minister to visit Pope
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, will be meeting with Pope Francis at the Vatican this Wednesday, 23 October. Pope Francis has already met the Israeli President, Shimon Peres, King Abdullah of Jordan, and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.
Last Thursday, 17 October, during his visit, President Abbas invited Pope Francis to visit the Holy Land.
It has been reported that President Peres also invited the Holy Father during their meeting in April this year.
The media in Israel this week is suggesting that Pope Francis might like to visit the Holy Land before Mr Peres leaves office in July 2014. The Vatican has not commented on the subject.
