The Catholic Church in Liverpool adds its voice to the environmental lobby this week. 'Caring for God's Creation', a major presentation on the environment, is coming to Liverpool on Tuesday 30 September. Led by Bishop Declan Lang, Bishop of Clifton, who speaks on environmental matters for the Catholic Bishops' Conference, and natural history producer, Mary Colwell, the presentation will take place at 7.30 pm at the Liverpool Archdiocesan Centre for Evangelisation, on Croxteth Drive. Admission is free.

Bishop Declan Lang said: 'I very much appreciate the invitation to come to Liverpool. I know it's a place where people care deeply about how we respect our planet. "Caring for God's Creation" is a presentation in which we hope to deepen the awareness of people for our environment and our responsibility towards it.'

Award-winning natural history radio and TV producer, Mary Colwell jointly presents the talk. The presentation 'Caring for God's Creation' is colourfully illustrated with video clips and other multimedia.

The Archbishop of Liverpool, the Most Reverend Patrick Kelly will also be attending 'Caring for God's Creation'.

The 'Caring for God's Creation' presentation is free and open to all. It gets under way at 7.30 pm on Tuesday 30 September at the Liverpool Archdiocesan Centre for Evangelisation. Further details can be found at www.soundofmanywaters.org

Mary Colwell is the inspiration behind 'Sound of Many Waters' - a year-long exploration of our need to care for the environment, which has been organised by Clifton Cathedral in Bristol where Mary is a parishioner and which draws on Catholic teachings, insights and networks.
