Ooberfuse to launch World Youth Day single with free London concert

Ooberfuse are debuting their new single, Go, inspired by the theme of 2013 World Youth Day, upping the ante for the largest youth rally on the planet hosted later this year in Rio, Brazil. Their song is the first English song released for World Youth Day 2013. Join London's ooberfuse for their opening concert of the New Year - 10 January, 8 pm at the AAA in Kensington, London.

Ooberfuse's latest musical offering includes for different versions of their song 'Go'. Hal says: "We want to get the message out there in as many ways we creatively could. We have teamed up with a well known UK dance producer Loverush UK for an anthemic and melodic track that captures the vibrancy of the World Youth Day theme of 2013!"

Cherrie, front-woman of the band says: "We want our first single and our first concert of 2013 to be about Matthew 28:19, "Go and make disciples of all nations. 10 January promises to be a great night not just for musical entertainment but also for learning a bit more about Brazilian life and culture. We hope to see many familiar and new faces at the AAA!"

Hal adds: "the Brazilian bishops want World Youth Day 2013 to be the finest festival of faith ever. They are emphasising that if we truly are followers of Jesus then we must actively go out to all the nations of the world healing the broken-hearted and sharing the Good News. They have declared the week before the launch of World Youth Day in July as 'Mission Week' during which they are encouraging participants to engage in social justice projects throughout the 200+ Dioceses in Brazil."

Nico says "there can be no festival atmosphere unless the music is festive and upbeat. Our track is a party anthem and a rallying cry. Being disciples doesn't have to be boring!!!"
