To mark the anniversary of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, peace campaigners will be holding a number of events in August and September - including talks, walks along the London Peace Trail, the Annual Pax Christi Hiroshima & Nagasaki Vigils in Westminster Cathedral Piazza; to the Annual Pax Christi - Franz Jagerstatter memorial service in Westminster Cathedral Crypt and the Interfaith Peace Walk to the London Peace Pagoda in Battersea Park.

Monday 6 August 1.30pm Guided walk along the London Peace Trail With Bruce Kent and Valerie Flessati of the Movement for the Abolition of War. Meet by Gandhi’s statue in Tavistock Square WC1 at 1.30pm (after the annual 12 noon Hiroshima Day ceremony in the square). The trail goes down to Red Lion Square, Trafalgar Square, Whitehall and Westminster, ending at the Imperial War Museum. Drop out earlier if you need to.
6 & 9 August 10am - 5pm Annual Pax Christi Hiroshima & Nagasaki Vigils in Westminster Cathedral Piazza Prayers at 11.30am and 3.30pm. If you are able to help on either day please contact the office.
9 August 6.30pm Annual Pax Christi - Franz Jagerstatter memorial service. In the Crypt Chapel, Westminster Cathedral Entrance via the school car-park in Ambrosden Avenue. Followed by interfaith peace walk to London Peace Pagoda with the Nipponzan Myohoji Buddhist community

Sunday 2 September 2.30pm Peace Pledge Union walk and talks around peace memorials in central London. Meet in the café of St Martin in the Fields, Trafalgar Square, at 2.30pm for refreshments before walking up to Red Lion Square and ending at the conscientious objectors memorial stone in Tavistock Square. Sunday 23 September Children’s Mystery Walk along the London peace trail With puzzle books, clues, and passports to get stamped at each site. Best for 5-11 age group.
