Aled Jones

BBC 1’s Songs of Praise this Sunday will come to St Augustine’s church in Ramsgate, Kent this Sunday,  Augustus Welby Northmore Pugin personal church.  The special programme is to celebrate the 200th anniversary of Pugin's birth. Aled Jones will be one of the guests. The singer, who had never been to Ramsgate before said: "St Augustine's really is an amazing church and the fact it is being renovated is great news."

Also appearing in the programme will be parish priest Father Marcus Holden, who is Chairman of Friends of St Augustine’s church, Pugin's biographer Rosemary Hill and Pugin's great great grandson Robert Pugin Purcell.

Viewers will be able to see the programme on BBC 1 at 5pm this Sunday, 24 June.
