Thailand: 80 year-old cook feeds refugee children | Pyi Chit school,Thailand, Daw Mya, Burmese, Thai Childrens Trust

dinner time
At Pyi Chit school, in northern Thailand, an 80 year-old cook called Daw Mya is making sure Burmese child refugees get the food they need each day. This is a part of the world where malnutrition is common among schoolchildren  - often forcing them out of school and in to the sex industry or sweat shops.

This year, the Thai Children's Trust has pledged to put food on the plates of 1000 starving children, Burmese refugees who have escaped the brutal civil war and now struggle to survive on the Thai/Burma border.
