Birmingham: Archbishop Longley prays for people of Norway
The Most Reverend Bernard Longley, Archbishop of Birmingham, today expressed his condolences and concern for the people of Norway, after the terror attacks which have claimed the lives of nearly a hundred people.
He said: "I share the profound sense of shock and sadness felt by so many at the tragic and violent death of the young people in Norway and of those who lost their lives or were injured in Oslo.
"I pray especially for the families of those who have died and for all those who must comfort and support them at this time."
Archbishop Longley added: "These terrible events remind us of our constant need to value and cherish the life of every individual because life is God's gift. "
