The New Years Honours List included the following names of Catholics and members of other denominations who have received awards and those working for Christians charities. (The list isn't complete but names most of those where a religious affiliation is obvious on the list).

Mrs Glenda Howells, for service to the Salvation Army and to the community in Maesteg and Port Talbot.

The Reverend Thomas William Tait, for voluntary service to the Air Training Corps.
