St Vincent De Paul Society: with those in need the year round
One of the key Catholic charities supporting people in need around the UK is the St Vincent de Paul Society. Over the Christmas period, its parish-based volunteers will continue to visit the sick and housebound.
Siobhan Garibaldi, Central Council President for the Diocese of Westminster's St Vincent de Paul Society, said: "Christmas is a tough time for those who are alone, ill or in need, we hope to help the most vulnerable over Christmas through the work we do. Please remember the St Vincent de Paul Society in your prayers this year, especially as you gather together as a family over Christmas. It means so much to the people we help to know that there are people that care, praying for them and supporting the work we do. Your support and generosity is a great help and is much appreciated as it enables us to be there for those who need us most."
